Minutes: Accepted as distributed.
Membership: After fishing his first tournament with the club, Jason Wilcox was voted in as a member.
This brings our club distribution to :
TOTAL MEMBERS: ………………..31
BOATERS……………………………17
NON BOATERS……………………. 14
WAITING LIST ………………………1 (Dan Christ (HV JR.)
Youth: (Vince Crodelle) The first tournament is next week. Morgan Lake fishing is on 5/3 and 5/4. The end of May is a small boat tournament. Four more boats are needed for the Lake Lillinonah tournament on June 8th. Their raffle tickets for a gas card are still available.
Treasurer: Bill reported approximately the same balance as this time last year. There were 18 boats at the Mid week tournament with the winning weight at 18.91#. The highest HV weight was 16.68# turned in by the team of Charlie George and Joe Copersito. The treasurer’s report was accepted as presented.
Federation: Dan Morgan believes that the new leadership is working hard on the problems that plagued the last few years. There will be separate payouts for boaters and anon boaters. The NY state team will be made up of 9 Boaters and 3 Non Boaters. Three state tournaments are on the schedule, they are 1, Lake George (out of Mossy Pt.), 2 Hudson Harbor, and Oneida Lake. The six man team event will be at far off Chautauqua Lake.
Tournaments: Two rule reminders, during the fishing time, NO cell phone calls are allowed either in or out unless there is real emergency. Secondly, trolling,(example) dragging a bait behind the boat , is not allowed.

Old Business: A long discussion ensued on the cost of this year’s six man team. Bill Russell a member of the team had generated an estimate of the costs involved item by item. The costs were estimated to be about $1000 more than last year primarily due to the distance to the lake and the huge increase in gasoline costs. To help defray the costs, Charlie George volunteered to pay for the team shirts, approximately $300. Thanks go out to Charlie!
After the discussion, a vote was held and a figure of $3400 was approved. Lettering on the hats will cost approximately $60. Bill was “volunteered” to head a committee to study possible ways to off set the costs by sponsors, fund raisers etc.
